INMO prizes recognise outstanding contributions by members in the areas of research, mentorship and union activism, and are awarded during the union’s annual meeting.

Exhaustion and burnout alongside compromised patient care were reported by members of the INMO in its 2025 member survey.  

INMO members have accepted proposals following the workplace ballot that was conducted over three weeks.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has welcomed the publication of the ‘Acute Mental Healthcare in Hospital Emergency Departments in Ireland’ report carried out by the Mental Health Commission.

Members will be balloted on WRC proposals relating to the INMO claim for measures to address the non-filling, and delayed filling, of vacant and suppressed posts and the associated and increasingly unsafe staffing levels in nursing and midwifery.
