9,036 patients have been treated on a trolley, chair or in another inappropriate bed space in Irish hospitals in November according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

Members of the INMO, Fórsa and Siptu are holding a protest in solidarity with the people of Palestine, outside University Hospital Galway at lunchtime today (Friday).

The INMO has strongly criticised this week’s proposal by the US administration to exclude nursing from its list of "professional degrees" as part of a review of education programmes. 

INMO and SIPTU members employed at Caredoc facilities have announced their intention to commence industrial action in the form of a withdrawal of labour, effective from December 17th.

The Staff Panel group of Unions including INMO, Connect, Forsa, SIPTU, Unite and MLSA  attended the WRC with the Health Service Executive on the 19^th of November 2025, in relation to the WRC Agreement on Pay & Numbers.
