This section is relevant to all grades of nurses and midwives who are working in GP practice and primary care facilities.

Aims and objectives

To be responsive to the identified needs of our practice nurse members within the INMO in a professional and confidential manner
To promote greater participation within the section in order to achieve greater influence.
To enhance communication both within the section and with other healthcare professionals
To highlight the specialism of practice nursing within a changing healthcare system

To promote a clearer definition of the role of the practice nurse within the primary care team, and to act as a source of education and information relating to professional issues and conditions of employment.
