Emergency nurses section

Who is this section for?

This section is open to all who are providing nursing care working in hospital Emergency Departments and Minor Injury Units.

Aims and objectives

To represent the voice of emergency nurses within the INMO
To increase awareness of the section to members working in Emergency Departments
To support members in a professional and confidential manner
To promote the specialty of emergency nursing
To identify and address accident and emergency nursing issues
To contribute to the development of the scope of emergency nursing
To effectively support members in personal and professional development
To promote development of local services to meet government health targets
To contribute to and sustain a quality nursing care service that benefits the public
To promote an emergency care environment conducive to safe practice
To identify potential health and safety risks to members working in emergency departments

The emergency nurses section of the INMO, working together as a national group, will convene on a regular basis to discuss the interests and concerns of nurses working in emergency departments in Ireland.
