The INMO Information Office have created an Injury at Work Information Booklet. Injury at work entitlements for nurses and midwives arise from three different sources, namely:
- Occupational Injuries Scheme operated by the Department of Social Protection;
- Injury Allowance as provided for under various Health Service Superannuation
Schemes;
- Personal injury compensation as provided by the Injuries Resolution Board under the Personal Injuries Assessment Board Act 2003.
The booklet below provides information on an employee's entitlements following an injury at work, or where an employee contracts a disease because of the type of work they do.
