Workplace ballot outcome

I am writing to you to confirm that members have accepted proposals following the workplace ballot that was conducted over three weeks.  These proposals sought to address the non-filling and delayed filling of vacant and suppressed posts. Of those that voted, 90.7% accepted the proposals.

I want to thank INMO representatives who assisted in carrying out a ballot in workplaces across the country.

There is a strong onus on the Health Service Executive to adhere to this agreement. Now that this ballot has been accepted by members, we will immediately write to the HSE to begin the implementation of the measures included in the agreement.

These proposals should pave the way for accelerating the filling of vacancies, stronger engagement between your union and the HSE, timely replacement of maternity leave, regularisation of agency posts and permanent posts for graduates.
