Balloting on the proposals is beginning. To inform your decision, I am sending you the full documents which set out what’s in the proposals. But the best way to get the facts is attend an information meeting where balloting will also take place.
You can find all the relevant documents here - both original texts and explanations.
In particular, you will find:
Document 1: A Q&A on the content of the proposals, answering some of the most frequent questions we have received.
Document 2: The final text of the new “Enhanced Practice” contract for staff nurses and midwives, along with notes on how it compares with the current situation. (Note: this new contract applies only for staff nurses and midwives, not other grades.)
I would encourage every member to attend workplace information meetings soon to ask questions, learn more about the proposals, and cast your vote. You should hear from your IRO or strike committee when these meetings will be. In addition, a list of meetings is here – this list is not yet complete and constantly being added to, so check back in if your workplace or area is not currently listed.
