INO members to stage lunchtime protest at Killarney Community Hospital today from 1.30 to 2.30p.m.

They will be joined by colleagues from all over the country who are attending the INO Annual Delegate Conference in Killarney this week

As part of the next phase of their protest against the abolition of the Director of Nursing Post from Killarney Community Hospital and the inevitable down grading of the facility, members of the INO in Killarney Community Hospital are set to stage a lunch time protest between 1.30 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. on Thursday May 7th 2008 to coincide with the staging of the Annual Delegate Conference in Killarney.

Speaking today, Michael Dineen, Industrial Relations Officer said

“Our members working in Killarney Community Hospital are committed to maintaining their protest at the arbitrary imposition of changes in the governance of the Hospital.  We anticipate that we will be joined at the gates of the Hospital by a considerable number of our colleagues attending the Annual Delegate Conference in a clear manifestation of solidarity and support by the Organisation for their colleagues currently engaged in a dispute with the HSE South.”
