INO Opens New Mid-West Regional Office In Limerick. 10/03/08

The Irish Nurses Organisation has opened (today, Tuesday, 10th March 2009), its new Mid-West Regional Office in Limerick City.  This office is conveniently located to the Mid-West Regional Hospital, at Unit 4B Courtfields, Raheen, Limerick (Telephone: 061-308999  Fax:  061-309035).

The opening of the new office, which is a further step in the ongoing development of the Organisation, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, will allow greater services to the region’s 4,000 INO members.

The office was opened this lunchtime by INO President, Ms. Sheila Dickson, in the presence of the Deputy Lord Mayor of Limerick, Mr. John Cronin, other public representatives and a large gathering of local INO activists and branch officers.

The new office, which has extensive car parking, will provide an administrative hub, for the Organisation’s activities in the Mid-West and South East regions, and will also allow members access the Organisation’s various services including professional development, information, library and research.

Speaking today INO President Sheila Dickson said:

“The opening of this new office marks the latest development in the Organisation’s plan for continued growth and development.  The INO now has over 40,000 members, nationwide, and is the fourth largest trade union in this country.

I am certain this new facility will further enhance the Organisation’s ability to provide a comprehensive range of services to our 4,000 members in this region.”
