Survey - Smarter Travel' in a COVID world

My name is Heather Murphy and I am a Mechanical Engineering Student in Trinity College Dublin.

I am currently involved in a project surrounding the concept of 'Smarter Travel' in a COVID world and we are looking at tackling the issue of limited capacity and the lack of real-time information surrounding capacity onboard public transport such as buses, trains and luas'. Of course this is particularly prevalent at the moment to all members of the public due to current reduced capacity  however we are looking to tackle this on a border scale and believe it is something your members may find of interest in the long term as we currently understand that often it is very difficult (if not impossible) for essential workers to know if there will be room for them on board or there if transport has already reached maximum capacity.

Essentially we are looking for the help of INMO members in identifying the finer details of this problem and we would like to help solve this in developing an engineering solution to be implemented across the board.

All data will be fully confidential in compliance with Trinity college GDPR Regulations and if you have any queries please do not hesitate to give me a call on my mobile. (+353 86 824 4411)
