Beirut Explosion: INMO message of sympathy and solidarity
Condolences 7.8.20

The INMO has expressed condolences to those affected by the horrific explosion in Beirut on 4 August, which killed at least 135 people, including nurses, and injured close to 5,000 persons.

In the midst of unprecedented pressure on nurses and other healthcare workers due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this disaster has added an enormous burden to the city’s already stretched resources.

We acknowledge the hard work and courage of the Order of Nurses in Lebanon, and stand in solidarity with our nursing and midwifery colleagues as they continue to provide life-saving care at this most difficult time.
