3rd January 2019
I hope this message finds you well and I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all members for the new year.
Some members have reported difficulty in the payment process for the NMBI Annual Retention Fee this year. Additionally, members have expressed concerns regarding correspondence from the NMBI which suggested that if the fee was not paid by 31st December 2019 then persons would be immediately removed from the Register.
We have raised both issues with the NMBI and Nurses and midwives should not be concerned if they have not paid yet, or if they are experiencing delays or difficulties in paying at the moment.
Following our discussions, the NMBI have confirmed that there will be a grace period to the end of January 2020 to pay the fee, and that no penalties will apply to those who pay their retention fee by January 31st 2020.
