Women’s Aid is currently running it’s Too Into You dating abuse awareness campaign. We think that the information and campaign tools will be of interest and support to younger women involved in your trade union. We would really appreciate it if you could share our materials as part of any online membership communications and we can provide campaign packs free of charge to anyone who would like to display the posters and bookmarks.
The campaign is aimed at young women, aged 18-25 years old, and highlights abusive and controlling behaviour in intimate relationships.
To encourage discussion about healthy and unhealthy relationships, the #TooIntoYou campaign features eight characters: ‘Snooping Simon’, 'Controlling Conor', ‘Send Nudes Niall’, ‘Needy Neil’, ‘Dramatic Dan’, ‘10 missed calls Ben’, ‘Triple Text Thomas’ and ‘Why don’t you love me, Luke’. Each character reflects the insidious and harmful ways that young women experience dating abuse from their boyfriends or exes.
The campaign helps young women to spot the 10 key danger signs of dating abuse, take a relationship health check, provides information to combat online stalking and digital abuse and shares young women's stories. The campaign also signposts support for anyone affected via the www.toointoyou.ie website and the 24hr National Freephone Helpline. The materials can be displayed at any time in the year.
We need your help to get the campaign seen by as many young women as possible. If possible, can you please:
Thank you in advance for any support you can give to the #TooIntoYou campaign.
