INMO expression of sympathy and condolence to the O'Connor family on the death of Mr. John M O'Connor solicitor.
John O'Connor senior headed up O'Connor legal the official solicitors for INMO and previously for the INO. It was John who guided and represented INO at the High Court when the organisation first got its Trade Union License. For more than half a century John provided his expertise, guidance, and wisdom to the organisation in the many ups and downs which developed into today’s 40,000 strong principle voice of Nurses and Midwives in Ireland.
Former INO General Secretary PJ Madden celebrated a Mass for John in New Orleans on Tuesday August 4th.
John`s daughter Ruth and her brother John C O'Connor are partners with their father in the firm and with him have advised and represented INMO members across the full range of the organisation`s activities including industrial, professional, and financial. Under John M O'Connor`s stewardship the practice became recognised as a leader in the field of professional regulation.
John died peacefully at home surrounded by his wife Mary and his family George, Ruth, and John. He will be sadly missed by them, his sisters and brother, daughters in law, grandchildren, a wide circle of friends, clients and all who had the pleasure of dealing with him in INMO. He was a thorough Gentleman.
Our sympathies go to his Wife and Family. May he Rest in Peace.
