Welcome to the INO National Sections area, where you will get an overview of what our Sections are, and the work that they do

All INMO members are invited and encouraged to join their relevant section (click here for on line affiliation form) – as an additional service provided to you through your membership. 

The INMO  Sections, of which there are currently 24 cover every field within nursing and midwifery - see left side for full list.

What is a Section?

Sections are comprised of groups of members working in the same field of nursing and midwifery, specific grades or Sections can comprise groups of members organised to pursue social/cultural issues.

They are an essential part of the Organisation, enabling members to influence policy, bring forward joint work or campaign on issues of concern, be they regional, national or international

Why would I Join a Section?

Sections facilitate the co-ordination of a national network of peers and colleagues working in the same area and sharing similar interests

Sections facilitate groups of members to communicate effectively through the dedicated webpages hosted here on this site and their dedicated pages within the monthly World of Irish Nursing & Midwifery Journal.

Sections facilitate access to the policy making structure of the Organisation (Annual Delegate Conference )by sending a delegate and observer to represent their special interest group

What if my area of interest is not listed?

If you have a keen interest  or are working in an area that is not currently listed, feel you would like to get more involved and get that area represented, please contact me (link to email  jean@inmo.ie) and we will do our upmost to facilitate its establishment. 
Who is running the Section?

Sections are run by members for members, and I am involved in the co-ordination and development of the work that they do.

You can affiliate to your relevant National Section by filling in (this form)
Section Membership is open to all INMO members, and students are requested to affiliate to the Student Nurse/Midwife Section
