The Community Nurses Section was set up in May 2002.

Mission/Philosophy

To establish a defined caseload and a clear career structure for community RGN’s.  To develop a meaningful partnership with other professionals working in the community and to act as advocate for the community nurse in a professional, visionary and resourceful capacity.

Aim

To raise the profile of Registered General Nurses working in the community. 

Criteria for Membership
The Section is open to all nurses working in the community.  This is inclusive of temporary and permanent post holders plus nurses who provide locum PHN cover.
