ATTENTION ALL INMO MEMBERS

Dear Colleague

As we all know, in the current difficult environment, the ability of every individual nurse/midwife to deliver safe care is constantly challenged.

The INMO Executive Council, in recognition of this reality, wishes to take this opportunity remind all members that they should, whenever they believe their ability to provide safe care is compromised, complete an INMO disclaimer form and submit it to their line management keeping a record of same.

These disclaimer forms can be downloaded here or triplicate disclaimer booklets are available in some hospitals across the country.

In the coming weeks we will be placing these triplicate booklets in all workplaces arising from a decision taken at our annual delegate conference last May.

Safe practice and safe care can never be compromised and the Organisation will fully support every member who seeks our assistance whenever, or wherever, they believe unacceptable levels of risk exist.

Please bring this note to the attention of all members in your workplace either by copying it or displaying it on all noticeboards.
