The Irish Nurses and Midwives extend its deepest and profound sympathy to the family of nurse Jacintha Saldanha in London who died so tragically last Friday.

In the light of the circumstances surrounding this terrible event, the INMO also support the call, from Ms Saldanha’s family, that their privacy would be respected at all times.

The INMO has also sent its deepest sympathy to our colleagues and friends in the Royal College of Nursing at the loss of this excellent caring nurse.
