Conference calls on the HSE:
To cease the practice of outsourcing available and necessary nursing/midwifery work to ‘for profit’ private agencies and instead provide direct employment for these nurses/midwives who are currently forced to work through the private agencies for a lesser salary and poorer conditions of employment; and
To acknowledge the imminent Agency Directive and ensure in advance of its transposition that agency nurses engaged by the HSE are paid a rate which is equal to their HSE colleagues.
